Sport Analytics Curriculum
The sport analytics curriculum combines advanced data science techniques with sport industry applications. Students study statistical modeling, coding, econometrics and machine learning, while exploring how analytics supports decision-making across professional and collegiate sports.
Coursework includes applications of analytics to player evaluation, team performance, fan behavior, sports gambling and sport business strategy.

Experiential Learning

These experiences allow students to present findings to industry professionals and build practical experience applying analytics to real sports data.
While many of these clubs meet on-campus, the university will provide the support necessary for online students to seize the opportunity to apply their skills through projects and competitions that address real-world sports analytics challenges.

Note: A successfully completed undergraduate or graduate-level course in statistics or significant experience using statistics in a professional capacity and prior sport experience are preferred but not required to apply to this program.

The online Sport Analytics M.S. program admits for the fall semester only, due to the sequencing of courses. While our priority deadline is February 15, we continue to review applications on a space available basis.
